About

This project is about advertising artist who live in the local city of Gwangju. I was a designer for their artists' works on social media. I've been considering my role in designing for them, and I created art collection books for each artist, as I mentioned before in my project "Physicality Deconstruction Project." I believe that books have a dominance of the physical, and this can show their own art book in digital form.

The Artist Studio Visit program aims to explore and introduce local artists each year. As stories of many artists were shared on social media, I've been considering my role in supporting artists digitally. This led me to use the traditional material format and authority of books by using photos of artists' works and create a 'Social' Art collection that allows people to virtually exhibit their work. This project, by combining these elements, allows us to move away from physical materials and remove authority.

The famous 'Frame' sculpture at the Gwangju Biennale logo has become 'Direction', leading visitors to the stories of each artist. This visual change gives insights into the works of different artists.
