Kengo Kuma is well-known as an architect who designs inspiration from nature to connect with the environment through his architecture. His designs include cross patterns that link the indoors and outdoors. In designing this book, to show his architectural style, I chose not to place the title on the cover, but instead printed it on the inside cover. This makes the title visible from the outside due to the thin paper material used. The first chapter uses a dark film effect, presenting pre-modern theories to show as flashbacks in a movie. Overall, the book was created using a strict grid system inspired by the cross-pattern grid of his architectural style.
